The dental crown procedure

After numbing your mouth, we reshape your tooth to create space for a crown. Then, we take your bite impressions with a digital scanner and send the images to a dental lab to manufacture your crown. Until your new appliance is ready, we will install a temporary crown to protect your smile.
The second appointment is for installing your permanent crown. Once we receive your crown from the dental lab, we polish it and make a few adjustments to ensure it fits comfortably. Once you are satisfied with the appearance and fitting of your crown, we bond it permanently to your tooth using dental cement and curing light.
